Edit Bays

The Edit Bays provide students with hands-on post-production experience using industry-standard tools. Equipped with Adobe software and other essential post-production equipment, these stations support content creation for daily news shows and the Impact program, which produces long-form documentaries for Spectrum. The space is divided into two key areas: 

  • The Bullpen – A communal space with 12 edit stations for daily news production. 
  • Private Edit Suites – 10 individual suites dedicated to the Impact curriculum. 

Whether editing breaking news or long-form documentaries, the Edit Bays offer a dynamic, real-world post-production environment. 

Who Can Use Them: 

  • The Bullpen: Annenberg Students Working on Live TV shows have priority 
  • Private Edit Suites: Curriculum-related projects have priority 
  • Annenberg Students 
  • Annenberg Faculty & Staff 

What They Are: 

  • Professional-level post-production stations equipped for news and documentary editing. 

Where They Are Located: 

  • Upstairs Edit Bays: Annenberg Media Center, second floor, Room 206 (A–K) 
  • Downstairs Edit Bays: Annenberg Media Center Room 102L 

When They Are Open: 

  • Monday – Thursday: 9 AM – 10 PM 
  • Friday: 9 AM – 5 PM 
  • Weeks and Non-Semester: Closed

  • The Edit Bays provide a real-world post-production experience, allowing students to refine their storytelling skills in both fast-paced news and long-form documentary editing.
